Most airlines allow to transport in aircraft passenger cabin a cage with a dog which weight together with an animal won't exceed 10 kg. Therefore in cabin be allowed only a small puppy, and for big dogs there is only a luggage compartment. For the owner to realize that his best friend will depart in luggage probably more terribly than for the dog. But, the most important, is necessary will calm down and in advance to be prepared for flight. Befor transporting dogs by air it is necessary to learn everything about the airline, what requirements are shown to a cage, an animal, what necessary documents need to have the owner that the dogtook on board the aircraft.. It is also necessary to be convinced that the cage with a dog will settle down not together with bags and suitcases because then it will freeze at flight. It should be specially prepared heated place for dog containers, with sufficient ventilation and necessary air temperature. To avoid troubles on travel try correctly and regularly feed a dog before transporting. Ideally strictly to adhere to a diet for concrete breed, for example for beagles.
It is necessary to think over everything and to get necessary accessories to the pet. The dog in the plane should feel comfortably and safely.
For air transportation for dogs it is necessary:
1. Container-cage
The dog should settle down in it comfortably, it being necessary not rest the head and be able to stretch out. Usually requirements to the container are shown in advance by a carrier when booking by the ticket, but it is more preferable to use a plastic cage with a metal door. In a cage there should be one dog. If puppies are more younger than four, it is possible to transport dogs by air together with mother. On a cage there should be stickers of "Live Animal" and at least two "Top". Also on a cage it is necessary to attach a label with a name, the address, phone number and place number in the plane of the owner. The bottom of a cage should be covered with any absorbing material, except straw. Wheels must be removed.
2. Documents for transporting dogs by air
Copies of the passport of the animal or veterinary certificate should be attached to a cage. Declaration copies at registration, copies of the passport of an animal or the veterinary reference (certificate) should be attached to a cage in a visible place.
3. Bowls for food and drink.
In the container there should be two available bowls (or one with with two compartments) for food and drink.
4. Dog-lead
During air transportation a dog in a cage should be without a leash and muzzle.
If the transporting dogs by air without the owner is supposed, it is necessary to agree beforehand about it with an air carrier, in particular with representatives of the cargo terminal and strictly to fulfill all its requirements. Remember that safety of a dog in the plane depends first of all on his owner.
