The beagle – an ancient breed of dog, is a hunting hound it come from England, was deduced for hunting generally on small animals, generally on a hare. For the first time it is in writing mentioned this breed in the 15th century in the English novel where hunting of that time is described in detail. Rack of dogs got divorced in the courts of the royal family which didn't imagine the life without hunting and hunting without a beagle. On portraits of King George IV it is possible to make out his favourite pets by his side, whom he was very proud of.
In the middle of the 19th century in the County of Essex in the southeast of England Parson Hanivud showed rack of hounds of dogs which served as primogenitors of modern breed the Beagle. This point can be considered as a reference point in the glorious history of beagles. Now descendants of this rack can be met in dog clubs worldwide.
Over time hunting on horses began to become fashionable and more swift-footed breeds forced out a beagle from a place of the favourite. Thanks to the old-fashioned farmers in remote counties which continued hunts with beagles, important pedigrees have not disappeared and remained pure breed. A fashion floatingly and in the 19th century again there was an interest to hunting with this breed, at the same time the beagle becomes an ordinary small doggie which it is convenient to hold houses.
To America the beagle has been delivered by colonizers where it was used on farms for hunting for different animals. It is considered that the puppies of a beagle brought and America by Richard Rouettom in the end of 19 centuries were primogenitors of the American breed. Later the American-British beagle club in which the breed standard for the first time in the history of beagles has been described has been formed.
Today, thanks to friendly and sociable character, beagles basically acquires for the house maintenance, but all the same it is the hunting breed and it acquires better in those who are going to hunt.
